Podcast Guest Consent & Release Agreement
Imran’s Podcast – Hosted by Imran Sheikh
This Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between Imran Sheikh (“Producer”), host of Imran’s Podcast, and the undersigned guest (“Guest”).
1. Consent to Record and Publish
Guest consents to the audio and/or video recording of their appearance on Imran’s Podcast. Guest understands the episode will be presented as a single-cut, candid conversation — authentic and lightly edited only for flow, clarity, or technical quality.
Guest agrees that Producer may edit, distribute, and publicly share the recording in part or in full across authorized platforms.
Guest may request to preview the full episode (“original cut”) before it is published, solely to ensure that the edits accurately reflect the content and intent of the conversation. This does not apply to short-form clips or promotional content on social media. Final editorial decisions, including what is included or excluded, remain fully at the discretion of the Producer.
2. Usage Rights
Guest grants Producer a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide license to use, reproduce, edit, distribute, and publicly display the content across the following channels:
Full episodes on podcast platforms (e.g., Spotify, Apple Podcasts)
Short-form or edited clips on social media (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts)
Blog posts or written articles derived from the podcast
Monetized formats (e.g., ad-supported platforms, sponsorships, and brand partnerships)
Third-party licensing or syndication, provided the content is not used in a misleading or harmful context
Exclusion: The content will not be repurposed into standalone books, eBooks, or long-form printed publications without separate written consent from the Guest.
3. No Compensation
Guest confirms that their participation is voluntary and that they will not receive any present or future financial compensation for their appearance or for any monetization of the content.
4. Ownership and Editorial Control
Producer retains full ownership and editorial control of the recorded content and any derivative works created from it.
5. Waiver of Liability
Guest fully and irrevocably releases, discharges, and agrees to hold harmless the Producer and any affiliated parties from any and all present or future claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, or losses of any kind — including but not limited to claims for defamation, emotional distress, loss of employment, or reputational harm — arising from or related to their participation in the podcast or the distribution of the recording.
Guest understands and accepts the public nature of podcast content and assumes full responsibility for any personal or professional consequences that may arise.
6. Entire Agreement
This document represents the entire understanding between both parties and overrides any prior verbal or written communications. Any modifications must be agreed upon in writing.
